Three Double-Shootings In Connecticut Over The Weekend; 1 Woman Dead

A massive party in a Manchester parking lot has police seeking a suspect in a fatal double shooting.

It was the third double-shooting in Connecticut over the Aug. 1-2 weekend.

The most recent incident happened at the parking lot party Sunday, Aug. 2. State Police responded to the area of the Buckland Street commuter parking lot around 2 a.m. Police found two people suffering from gunshot wounds and estimated that there had been 100-200 people at the parking lot party.

Both victims were transported to the hospital; one died, police said.

Jennifer Hicks, 20, of Springfield, died.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, Aug. 1, a couple sitting in a car were shot in Bridgeport. On Sunday, Aug. 2, shots were fired in New London.

The names and conditions of all five of the non-fatal victims have not been released.

The shootings remain under investigation.
